Resident Evil - Unproduced (Rejected) script by Alan B. McElroy from 1997-1998

I'm hoping McElroy also mentioned anything about his Doom script from 1997. That's another video game film adaptation which went through surprisingly long and interesting development history. I managed to find out how there were at least four rejected scripts written for that one; One from still...

Resident Evil - Unproduced (Rejected) script by Alan B. McElroy from 1997-1998

Apparently, the upcoming book about unmade horror films, Phantom Limbs by Jason Jenkins, will include the chapter about Alan B. McElroy's Resident Evil, including an interview with McElroy! Hopefully, he talked about both versions (or more?) of his script, first draft from May 1997, and revised...

RESIDENT EVIL - WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY (2021) - Original Scripts and Deleted Scenes

Some more pictures of deleted scenes and artwork of monsters which were in earlier scripts. Many thanks to NemesisBiohazard for letting us know about this; Deleted Scene; Wesker and Ada talking inside RPD station before he and Alpha team board the chopper. Of course, this is the same scene...

RESIDENT EVIL - WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY (2021) - Original Scripts and Deleted Scenes

Most RE fans probably already know about this, and can find some more info if you search for it, but just to give anyone else a short version of troubled development through which Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City went through; Originally developed as $40 million action horror sometime...

    Uncategorised Resident Evil 9

Maybe you're onto something there, or it could be that Capcom is re-using some of the stuff they cut from previous games. Like that rumor about female B.O.W helping the main character through entire game? It reminds me on one of the character/plot parts which were in Resident Evil 3.5 before...

George A. Romero's other Resident Evil scripts still exist!

Is something wrong with your messages? Because this one and one at my George Romero RE fan comic thread didn't show up for what seems like couple weeks. Anyway, as far as i know, at least when it comes to script trading and collecting, there were no news about any more Romero's drafts or any of...

George A. Romero's Resident Evil - Fan Made Comic Adaptation

Maybe somebody already posted something about this on other threads here, but anyway... RE fan by the name of Sisslethecat is currently working on his comic adaptation of George A. Romero's unproduced Resident Evil script. So far, i have to say he's doing pretty good job with it, and in case if...

George A. Romero's other Resident Evil scripts still exist!

Looks like i'm bit late to do that, i suppose PlutoKick already sent you a copy. Hope you'll enjoy it, it's not exactly unproduced masterpiece, but still pretty decent survival thriller in my opinion. Personally, while i really like the script, i'd put Carpenter's other unproduced 70's script...

I wanted to post copy of it too, but i don't think you can do that here.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City

Maverick already went into details about earlier draft of the script for WTRC; https://residentevil.org/forums/threads/george-a-romeros-other-resident-evil-scripts-still-exist.12515/post-213421 And it looks like there were even more differences in even earlier drafts...

George A. Romero's other Resident Evil scripts still exist!

Thanks for sharing all this Maverick! I agree with Bran, it sounds much better and would make a better movie. Now i wonder, if Constantin had something to do with changes made on the script, will we start hearing usual rumors about studio interference and such, if Roberts or somebody else...

George A. Romero's other Resident Evil scripts still exist!

Me too. And while it probably wasn't much better (based on his Mortal Kombat drafts) i wouldn't mind reading Greg Russo's script. But i think reading what WTRC was supposed to be originally would be more interesting. I keep checking around for info about any leaked drafts, but as far as i know...

Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City

If that leaked script for first episode is anything to go by, i will say it right here, despite its problems, WTRC will still be better Resident Evil adaptation than Netflix series. And it's just a theory i have, but if rumors about Russo's script were true, like how it was going to be more like...

George A. Romero's other Resident Evil scripts still exist!

Not the first time i hear that about original script for WTRC. Speaking as someone who didn't mind the film, it did made me think how it looked like scaled down version of what was supposed to be different and longer story, and if this is true, then it explains a lot. It really needed to be full...

George A. Romero's other Resident Evil scripts still exist!

Yeah but damn it, looks like it's not anywhere online. There are only few reviews of it. I think Script Shadow used to have link for it, but i don't know what happened with it. I'd try sending a link myself, but of course, ****ing Google messed something up with my drive, and no matter what i do...
